Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide specialized physical therapy services to pediatric patients for direct and mainly consultative time, helping them achieve optimal developmental milestones and improve their quality of life. Your expertise will support children with various conditions, including neurological, orthopedic, and developmental challenges, in outpatient and community settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young patients and their families through engaging, evidence-based therapy. Hours are incredibly flexible with this position, this position can be a W2 or 1099. Duties Assess pediatric patients' physical abilities, mobility, and functional limitations through comprehensive evaluations Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each child's unique needs and goals, incorporating evidence-based practices Implement therapeutic interventions such as physiotherapy techniques, trigger point therapy, and neuromuscular re-education Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals including physicians, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and caregivers to coordinate care plans Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment strategies accordingly to optimize outcomes Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems following clinical documentation standards Educate families on home exercise programs, discharge planning, and community resources to support ongoing care Participate in discharge planning and transition processes for pediatric patients moving from inpatient or hospital settings to outpatient or home care Knowledge of school-based IEPs. Requirements Valid licensure or certification as a Pediatric Physical Therapist in the relevant jurisdiction Proven experience practicing in a physical therapy role with pediatric populations, including outpatient clinic experience Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, neurology, orthopedics, and geriatrics as applicable to pediatric care Familiarity with clinical documentation standards and electronic health records (EHR/EMR systems) management Experience working with diverse patient groups including children with neurological conditions or orthopedic needs Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams Knowledge of care plans development, discharge planning, and home & community care practices Prior experience in outpatient rehabilitation centers or hospital settings is highly desirable Demonstrated understanding of medical terminology relevant to pediatrics and physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy Join us in delivering exceptional pediatric physical services that transform lives! Pay:
$44.00 - $59.00 per hour
