Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into an impactful contract role providing physical therapy services to K-12 students near Lusby, MD. This part-time opportunity runs from August 10, 2026, to June 17, 2027, offering you the chance to make a meaningful difference in a supportive school setting. With a manageable caseload and flexible hours, you'll focus on helping young learners reach their fullest potential through individualized therapy and collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications & Experience:

Active Maryland Physical Therapist (PT) license required Experience providing PT in a school-based or pediatric setting is strongly preferred Understanding of IEP development, implementation, and related documentation Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, staff, and families Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working across K-12 grade levels

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to students' needs Deliver direct and consultative therapy interventions, tracking student progress Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams Educate staff and parents on strategies to enhance students' physical abilities and access to learning environments Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in line with state and district standards
