Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a school-based Physical Therapist in a dynamic and collaborative educational environment. This full-time, contract opportunity is designed to cover a 2-month leave, serving a K-12 caseload and helping students reach their full potential through expert therapy services. As a valued provider, you'll work on-site from 7:30am to 3:15pm, collaborating with teachers, families, and other professionals. You'll deliver hands-on physical therapy interventions aimed at promoting student mobility, access, and independence within the school setting.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Physical Therapy license Prior experience in pediatric or school-based physical therapy settings Strong understanding of IEP documentation and implementation Comfortable working with students across K-12 grade levels and a range of physical abilities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working within multidisciplinary teams Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess students' physical abilities and develop individualized treatment plans to address their unique needs Provide direct therapy services in individual and group formats Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting Maintain accurate records and progress reports in accordance with school and regulatory requirements Educate staff and families on safe practices, adaptive techniques, and home programming Collaborate closely with teachers and other specialists to maximize student participation in school activities This is your chance to make a visible impact in students' educational journeys, applying your expertise in a positive atmosphere where collaboration and student achievement are prioritized.
