School-Based Physical Therapist - Lake View, New York

Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working with school-aged students, helping them access life-changing therapies and reach their fullest potential. This two-month leave coverage offers a full-time Monday to Friday schedule (7:30 am-3:15 pm) and focuses on serving a diverse K-12 caseload. You'll collaborate with educators and families to advance student development and enhance the quality of life for those with varying physical needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Prior experience in school settings strongly preferred Ability to work with students ranging from kindergarten through high school Knowledge of IEP processes and school-based therapy documentation Strong collaboration and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct, evidence-based physical therapy interventions for K-12 students in accordance with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Develop tailored treatment plans and adapt strategies to each student's goals and needs Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and family members to support student progress Maintain detailed records of student performance and therapy sessions Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and consultations to review progress and adjust interventions as needed Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment This contract role is an excellent opportunity if you enjoy making a tangible difference in the lives of children and adolescents while working alongside a passionate, multidisciplinary team.
