Capital District Beginnings is an Educational Agency providing services for pre-school children with special needs through collaborative early childhood programs in the Capital District. Named a Best Workplace of the Capital Region by the Times Union since 2021 and celebrating 40 years of supporting children with disabilities in their natural learning environments, we are looking to hire a: NYS Licensed Physical Therapist to join our growing community of professionals. The Physical Therapist will be responsible for providing services according to the students' IEPs, collaborating with Beginnings teachers and therapists, as well as our community partners, and completing all documentation and duties the position requires.
The ideal candidate should:
have a foundational knowledge of typical development in children have the ability work with a diverse population of preschool students to improve functional mobility skills, gross motor skills, balance, coordination, and independence have strong organizational skills have exceptional relationship building skills have interpersonal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team conduct 30-minute individual or group session per student's IEP. manage schedule to maximize IEP compliance by maintaining caseload which meets state mandated productivity levels (i.e., see all students on caseload per schedule) attend meetings with parents, classroom teams, and school district representatives as required write quarterly progress reports on progress toward IEP objectives complete Annual Review Assessments and Reports Salary commensurate with experience.
