We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to join our team who understands the home health care field. The ideal candidate will assist
PATIENTS
in providing high-quality care to patients enrolled in home health care agencies. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth and effective rehabilitation process for patients recovering from injuries or surgeries. This role allows you to make your own schedule directly with patients and choose your own work days and hour range. This job is strictly for those who are responsible, who can inform our office on any updates that are patient related so we can fix any issues you may have. Responsibilities Prepare treatment areas and assist with patient setup for therapy sessions, ensuring comfort and safety. Patient transfers, and mobility exercises using proper patient transfer methods. Assist with administrative tasks such as intake procedures, scheduling appointments Support rehabilitation care by helping patients perform prescribed exercises and, fostering motivation and engagement. Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of therapy tools and treatment spaces in accordance with health standards. Communicate effectively with patients to provide encouragement, explain procedures clearly, and address basic questions related to physiotherapy. Experience Prior experience working inpatient settings is highly desirable, especially within acute care or post-acute care environments. Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and orthopedics enhances your ability to support clinical staff effectively. Experience with geriatrics or working with elderly patients is a plus, reflecting sensitivity to diverse patient needs. Familiarity with patient transfer methods, heavy lifting techniques, CPR certification, and safety protocols ensures readiness for physically demanding tasks. Proven ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members while maintaining confidentiality aligns with our commitment to professional excellence. Previous involvement in rehabilitation or physiotherapy roles provides a strong foundation for supporting patient-centered care initiatives.
Pay:
$35.00 - $45.00 per hour
