Physical Therapy Aide The Bone and Joint Surgery Center Raleigh, NC Job Details Part-time From $15 an hour 11 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication HIPAA compliance HIPAA High school diploma or GED Attention to detail Clinical confidentiality policies Full Job Description Job Title Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Technician (Part-Time | 20-30 hours/week) Location Raleigh Bone and Joint Physical Therapy - Raleigh, NC (Outpatient Orthopedics) Position Summary Raleigh Bone and Joint Physical Therapy is seeking a dependable, energetic Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Technician to support our outpatient orthopedic team. This part-time role (20-30 hours/week) helps keep the clinic running smoothly by assisting with patient flow, preparing treatment areas, supporting therapists, and providing excellent customer service to our patients.
Schedule Part-time:
20-30 hours/week Hours may include mornings and/or afternoons based on clinic needs Key Responsibilities Patient & Clinic Support Greet patients, assist with clinic flow, and help create a welcoming environment Escort patients to treatment areas and help them get set up for care as directed by the PT/PTA Monitor the gym area for safety and cleanliness Treatment Area Preparation Prepare treatment tables/areas for each patient (linens, supplies, equipment) Clean and disinfect treatment tables, equipment, and commonly touched surfaces between patients per clinic protocol Maintain an organized, professional clinic appearance throughout the day Exercise & Modality Assistance (As Allowed by Law/Policy) Assist with patient set-up and supervision of exercises as directed by licensed staff Assist with application/set-up of modalities (e.g., heat/ice, e-stim/ultrasound set-up) only under direct supervision and within scope Report patient concerns, abnormal responses, or safety issues to the treating clinician immediately Administrative / Operational Tasks Stock supplies and maintain inventory (towels, linens, gloves, cleaning supplies, therabands, etc.) Assist with laundry and linen management Help with basic front desk tasks as needed (answering phones, scheduling support, scanning, paperwork) depending on clinic workflow Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED Strong communication and customer service skills Reliable transportation and strong attendance/punctuality Ability to maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA) Preferred Current student or interest in healthcare, kinesiology, athletic training, exercise science, or pre-PT/pre-PA/pre-med Prior experience in a medical office, PT clinic, fitness facility, or customer-facing role CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain) Physical Requirements Ability to stand/walk for long periods and move throughout a busy clinic Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs (equipment, laundry, supplies) Ability to assist with equipment set-up and occasional patient positioning under supervision Key Skills / Attributes Friendly, professional, and service-oriented Detail-oriented with strong cleanliness and safety habits Team player who takes initiative Comfortable in a fast-paced environment What We Offer Flexible part-time scheduling (20-30 hours/week) Hands-on experience in outpatient orthopedics and rehabilitation Supportive team environment with mentorship and learning opportunities
