The ideal candidate will assist physical therapists in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring a supportive environment for individuals undergoing rehabilitation. This role is essential in enhancing patient service and facilitating effective treatment plans, particularly in areas such as orthopedics, geriatrics, and acute care. Duties Assist physical therapists with patient treatment sessions, ensuring adherence to prescribed therapy protocols. Prepare treatment areas and equipment for patient use, maintaining cleanliness and organization. Support patients during exercises and activities, providing encouragement and guidance. Document patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist. Instruct patients on proper techniques for exercises and mobility as directed by the therapist. Engage with patients to enhance their comfort and understanding of their treatment plans. Collaborate with healthcare professionals within the clinic to ensure comprehensive patient care. Requirements Knowledge of physiology and basic principles of physical therapy is preferred. Experience in a clinical or hospital setting is advantageous, particularly in orthopedics or geriatrics. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service and care. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while being attentive to individual patient needs. Willingness to learn and adapt to various treatment techniques and protocols. Must be able to perform physical tasks associated with patient care, including lifting or assisting patients as needed.
