Summit Hand Therapy opened its doors in 2007, with one therapist and an office manager, and a shared goal of providing their patients with the best and most qualified upper-extremity care in the state of Utah. Today, Summit Hand Therapy has grown to 6 locations around Davis, Weber, and Box Elder counties. Although we have grown to meet the needs of a population that has exploded in size, our goals have remained the same. First and foremost, our priorities haven't changed since day one: To provide skilled, talented, and quality care in a comfortable and caring environment, meeting the needs of our patients and their families. Intending to have certified hand therapists (CHT) at each location and several licensed therapists, our team can provide expert individualized treatment to each patient experiencing trauma, illness, or injury.

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehab Aide to join our healthcare team in Farr West, Utah, United States. As a Rehab Aide, you will play a crucial role in supporting our physical therapists and occupational therapists in providing high-quality care to our patients. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient recovery and well-being in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Assist physical therapists and occupational therapists with patient care and treatment plansApply therapeutic modalities such as heat packs and help patients with exercise equipmentMonitor patient motion and guide them through prescribed exercises and strengthening techniquesMaintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment, adhering to all safety procedures and regulationsEnsure proper operation of physical therapy equipment, performing basic maintenance and reporting any issuesManage inventory of physical therapy supplies, including restocking and ordering as neededObserve and report patient progress during therapy sessions to the supervising therapistAssist with patient transfers and repositioning, ensuring patient comfort and safetyProvide emotional support and encouragement to patients throughout their rehabilitation journeyCollaborate with the therapy team to enhance patient care and treatment outcomesQualificationsCollege degree or equivalent education in a related fieldMinimum of 1 year experience in a medical environment, preferably in physical or occupational therapyStrong physical stamina and ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing at least 30 poundsProficiency in transferring and repositioning patients safelyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team membersKnowledge of basic medical terminology and rehabilitation conceptsFamiliarity with rehabilitation equipment and techniquesDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsEmpathetic and patient-focused approach to careAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentFlexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and schedulesBasic computer skills for maintaining electronic records and inventory managementCPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
