Valid Physical Therapy Assistant state license or proof of eligibility Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation
Responsibilities:
Attend and contribute to patient care, staffing conferences, and other required meetings as a representative of physical therapy, under the direction of the physical therapist. Adhere to department and patient treatment schedules, clinical and billing documentation requirements, and work-related meetings. Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to implement programs and activities tailored to each patient's needs and capabilities. Assist the Physical Therapist with tests, evaluations, and complex procedures. Instruct patients, families, and caregivers in physical therapy techniques under the Physical Therapist's supervision. Maintain timely and accurate documentation for all treated patients. Clean, maintain, identify, and report equipment needing repair. Ensure patients and families receive high-quality, compassionate care, recognizing their individual needs and rights. Implement individualized treatment plans as established by the primary Physical Therapist. Individualized physical therapy treatments include therapeutic exercises for aerobic capacity, balance, coordination, flexibility, gait improvement, neuromotor development, relaxation, strength building, and endurance enhancement, alongside functional training, manual therapy, airway clearance techniques, integumentary repair, electrotherapeutic, physical agent, and mechanical modalities use, health education, fall risk interventions, and chronic disease management education.
