Job Description

Physical Therapist AssistantPosition SummaryWe are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide therapeutic services under the direction of a Physical Therapist. The PTA will assist patients with exercises and treatments to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.

Responsibilities Provide physical therapy treatments according to established care plans. Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, stretching, and strengthening activities. Support gait training, transfers, balance, and functional mobility. Perform appropriate therapeutic modalities within scope of practice. Monitor patient response to treatment and report changes to the Physical Therapist. Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and mobility techniques. Maintain a safe and supportive treatment environment. Document treatments, patient progress, and responses accurately. Collaborate with the Physical Therapist and other healthcare professionals. Follow patient safety, infection control, and professional practice standards. Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current PTA license or certification in the applicable state. Previous clinical or healthcare experience preferred. Knowledge of therapeutic exercises, rehabilitation techniques, and mobility practices. Strong communication, organizational, and patient-care skills. Ability to work effectively under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
