Responsibilities Greet patients warmly upon arrival, manage check-in/check-out procedures, and handle patient intake efficiently. Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and process claims using systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, and other EMR (Electronic Medical Record) platforms. Schedule appointments accurately utilizing medical scheduling software; coordinate with providers to optimize daily patient flow. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, review documentation for completeness, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with billing processes including medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), Medicare claims, and medical collection efforts to support revenue cycle management. Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, provide exceptional customer service, and address patient inquiries promptly. Support clinic operations by managing filing systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, updating patient information, and handling clerical tasks such as data entry and typing. Requirements Prior experience in a medical or dental office setting is highly preferred; clinic experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of medical terminology is preferred, but we can train, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and health information management standards. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as ClinicMind. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; ability to navigate multiple software platforms efficiently. Exceptional phone etiquette with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and medical records management. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and insurance verification procedures. Previous experience in medical billing or medical administrative support is preferred; office management or front desk experience is beneficial.
