Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and team-oriented Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing practice. Under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will provide individualized, engaging therapy interventions to children with developmental delays, neurological conditions, orthopedic concerns, and other diagnoses affecting mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and gross motor development. You'll work closely with children, families, Physical Therapists, and our multidisciplinary team—including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists—to help each child make meaningful progress toward their goals. This position offers scheduling flexibility, mentorship, professional development, and the opportunity to build relationships with children and their families. Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Provide evidence-based, developmentally appropriate therapeutic interventions to support:
- Gross motor development
- Balance and coordination
- Strength and endurance
- Functional mobility
- Gait and posture
- Motor planning
- Age-appropriate movement skills
- Create fun, engaging, and play-based therapy sessions that motivate children and promote progress.
- Observe and communicate patient responses, progress, and changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Assist with carrying out therapeutic activities and home programs as directed by the Physical Therapist.
- Educate and encourage families and caregivers regarding therapeutic activities and strategies for supporting progress outside of therapy sessions, within the PTA's scope of practice.
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, physicians, educators, and caregivers to support coordinated care.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough clinical documentation.
- Follow established treatment plans and communicate with the supervising Physical Therapist regarding the need for modifications.
- Participate in team meetings, in-house training, continuing education, and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative clinic culture focused on exceptional patient and family experiences.
- Provide safe, compassionate, and respectful care to every child and family. Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current state PTA licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- Pediatric experience is preferred but not required.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of pediatric motor development and therapeutic intervention techniques is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for working with children and partnering with families.
- Compassionate, patient, dependable, and eager to learn.
- Ability to work effectively under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation & Benefits Salary:
$60,000-70,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
