Responsibilities Provide first assist in the OR for cardiac and vascular surgeries Manage pre- and post-operative CV surgery patients Round on ICU and step-down unit patients as needed Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging Document encounters, procedures, and progress notes in the EMRCollaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and ancillary staff Participate in discharge planning and patient/family education Respond to urgent and emergent CV surgery-related consults Adhere to hospital, legal, and regulatory compliance standards Required Skills CV surgery first assist Cardiothoracic surgery Pre- and post-operative care ICU and step-down patient management Hemodynamic monitoring Diagnostic test interpretation Advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) Electronic medical records (EMR) documentation Central line and chest tube management Multidisciplinary care coordination
