Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week This job will have the following responsibilities: 1. Evaluate and Diagnose Patients Obtain detailed medical histories and review patient records. Perform comprehensive physical examinations. Assess symptoms and develop accurate diagnoses. 2. Develop Individualized Treatment Plans Create treatment plans based on patient conditions and medical history. Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans as needed. Coordinate follow-up care to ensure positive patient outcomes. 3. Prescribe Medications and Treatments Prescribe medications and therapies within scope of practice and state regulations. Monitor medication effectiveness and address potential side effects. Educate patients on proper medication usage. 4. Manage Chronic Medical Conditions Provide ongoing care for patients with conditions such as: Diabetes Hypertension Asthma High cholesterol Thyroid disorders Track patient progress and recommend lifestyle modifications. 5. Order and Interpret Diagnostic Testing Order laboratory tests, imaging studies, and diagnostic procedures. Review and interpret results. Communicate findings and next steps to patients. 6. Perform Clinical Procedures Conduct office-based procedures including: Wound care Suturing Injections Ear irrigation Other procedures within training and scope of practice 7. Deliver Preventive Care Services Conduct annual wellness visits and physical examinations. Perform health screenings and risk assessments. Administer immunizations and preventive treatments. 8. Educate and Support Patients Explain diagnoses and treatment options. Provide guidance on healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention. Answer patient and family questions regarding care plans. 9. Collaborate with Healthcare Teams Work closely with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and specialists. Refer patients to specialty care when appropriate. Ensure coordinated, patient-centered care. 10. Maintain Accurate Medical Documentation Document patient encounters, diagnoses, treatment plans, and test results. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR). Ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Active Physician Assistant license in California. Strong diagnostic and clinical assessment skills. Experience in Primary Care, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine preferred. Proficiency with NextGen Electronic Health Records (EHR). Excellent communication and patient education skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment.
