Key Responsibilities In the role of Orthopedic Physical Therapy Assistant, you will: Assist Physical Therapists in carrying out comprehensive evaluations to understand patients' physical capabilities and rehabilitation needs, utilizing appropriate assessment tools. Implement treatment plans meticulously designed by the supervising Physical Therapists to enhance patient mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional status. Deliver hands-on manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and utilize various modalities to address musculoskeletal and neurological conditions effectively. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team comprising physicians, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists to ensure comprehensive and well-rounded patient care. Provide education to patients and their families regarding home exercise programs, use of adaptive equipment, and proactive injury prevention strategies to empower patient self-management. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment interventions, and discharge plans, ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines and company policies. Actively participate in ongoing professional development through continuing education opportunities, enabling you to stay informed about the latest developments in physical therapy practices and pursue advanced certifications. Patient Population / Client Focus Your role directly impacts a diverse patient population comprising individuals of all ages facing orthopedic challenges, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. By providing tailored care plans managed through hands-on therapy, you will contribute significantly to improving patients' quality of life and facilitating their return to daily activities. Qualifications Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current California PTA License and an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Physical Therapist Assisting. Demonstrated exceptional clinical assessment, treatment skills, and a commitment to enhancing patient outcomes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaborative relationships with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. Preferred Experience At least one year of experience in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting, providing hands-on patient care. Proficiency in utilizing rehabilitation technology and modalities in therapeutic interventions. Experience coordinating care with a multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive patient recovery efforts. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive annual salary within the range of
USD 50,000
