Travel/Contract Physicians Assistant Orthopedic Surgery - Up to $6,000/week!

Job Description

Travel Physician Assistant for Orthopedic Surgery on a 13-week contract in Mammoth Lakes, CA. Earn up to $6,000 per week while working alongside an experienced orthopedic team. Enjoy a balance of surgical experience and outdoor recreation in a scenic location.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist orthopedic surgeons during surgical procedures as a First Assist Evaluate, diagnose, and treat orthopedic patients in clinic and hospital settings Perform comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations Manage pre-operative and post-operative orthopedic care Order and interpret imaging studies, laboratory tests, and diagnostic procedures Apply splints, braces, casts, and other orthopedic devices Perform joint injections, wound care, and minor orthopedic procedures within scope of practice Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery expectations Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and multidisciplinary care teams Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR) Deliver exceptional patient-centered orthopedic care
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Current California Physician Assistant License Active DEA License Current BLS Certification NCCPA Certification Minimum of one year Physician Assistant experience Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills
Preferred Skills:
Three years of Orthopedic Surgery experience Previous First Assist experience
