Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care across a variety of clinical settings, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Your expertise will support comprehensive patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and medical treatments while ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations and best practices. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments including physical examinations, vital signs, intake evaluations, and medical histories using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic and Cerner. Prescribe medications in accordance with collaborative practice agreements and DEA regulations, including injections, Botulinum toxin treatments, and other therapeutic interventions. Perform diagnostic procedures such as suturing, catheterizations (including cardiac and spinal taps), phlebotomy, and airway management techniques. Manage acute pain cases and participate in critical care scenarios within hospital environments like ICU or Level I/II trauma centers. Interpret diagnostic tests including radiology imaging, laboratory results (ICD-10/ICD-9 coding), and diagnostic evaluations for infectious diseases or complex medical conditions. Assist in clinical research projects, clinical trials, and data collection efforts to advance healthcare knowledge and improve patient outcomes. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across specialties such as emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, neonatal intensive care (NICU), hospice & palliative medicine, occupational health, and home care settings. Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards by maintaining accurate medical records and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems like eClinicalWorks or Cerner. Support discharge planning, post-acute care coordination, and client education including health coaching and addiction counseling when appropriate. Experience Proven experience working in hospital environments such as emergency rooms, ICUs (including PICU), or trauma centers (Level I & II preferred). Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic or Cerner for documentation and data management. Prior involvement in clinical research or participation in clinical trials is highly desirable. Critical care experience including ventilator management, airway management techniques, dialysis procedures, or neonatal ventilator support is advantageous. Strong background in acute care settings such as urgent care or medical-surgical units with familiarity in CPT coding and ICD coding practices (ICD-10/ICD-9). Experience with telehealth platforms to deliver remote patient consultations effectively. Knowledge of hospital medicine protocols including infection control measures, aseptic techniques, radiation therapy procedures, and post-operative care. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to perform physical examinations accurately while demonstrating anatomy knowledge and physiology understanding.
