Spectra Tech, Inc. is hiring for a Physician Assistant II in Los Alamos, NM.Summary Assists Laboratory occupational physicians in areas including, but not necessarily limited to: Carrying out treatmentsDetermining and arranging proper patient dispositionsIdentifying and correcting workplace medical issuesCounseling and educating employees on health-related issues This position functions as a fully qualified professional with a full understanding of occupational medicine and related clinical disciplines. The selected candidate will work independently under limited direction while resolving a wide range of clinical and occupational health issues. Position ResponsibilitiesAssist occupational physicians in providing medical services and treatmentEvaluate employee health concerns and recommend appropriate disposition and follow-upIdentify workplace medical issues and support corrective actionsCounsel employees on health-related matters and preventive careProvide clinical support within an occupational medicine environmentResolve a diverse range of complex issues requiring analysis and evaluation of multiple factorsContribute to organizational goals and objectives through effective clinical decision-makingNetwork with senior internal and external personnel regarding occupational health mattersExercise sound judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutionsIndependently plan activities and prioritize assignments to accomplish objectivesEnsure work is completed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirementsRequired QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor of Science degree required AND Working knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in Occupational Medicine with 2-5 years of recent clinical experience in occupational medicine OR Working knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in a clinically related field, including:

Family MedicineEmergency MedicineUrgent Care MedicineInternal MedicineSports Medicine2-5 years of recent clinical experience in one of the above fieldsRequired Certifications & LicensureBoard Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) through the NCCPALicensed to practice medicine through the New Mexico Board of Medical ExaminersCurrent New Mexico Pharmacy LicenseCurrent Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) LicenseProfessional CharacteristicsFully functioning professional with broad clinical expertiseAbility to resolve complex issues using sound clinical judgmentDemonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervisionStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to effectively collaborate with physicians, employees, and stakeholdersProven ability to evaluate clinical information and develop appropriate solutions At Spectra Tech, Inc., our recruitment team is powered by real people in real time-personally reviewing every application with care and integrity.
