Role:

The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Spine) plays a critical role in delivering specialized care to patients with spinal conditions, working closely with our orthopedic surgeons and rehabilitation teams. This position involves comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosis, and management of both acute and chronic spine disorders, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care. The role requires collaboration in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, including preoperative and postoperative care, to optimize patient outcomes. Additionally, the provider will educate patients and their families about spine health, treatment options, and preventive strategies. Ultimately, this position aims to improve patient mobility, reduce pain, and enhance overall quality of life through expert clinical practice and compassionate care.

Minimum Qualifications:

Current and unrestricted Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the United States. Certification from an accredited PA or NP program with national board certification. Experience or clinical training in orthopedics, neurology, or spine care. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Specialty certification in orthopedics, neurology, or spine care (e.g., NCCPA Orthopaedic Certification for PAs). Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems specific to orthopedic or spine practices. Familiarity with minimally invasive spine procedures and postoperative rehabilitation protocols.
