3000419887-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Hospitalist Physician Days Hemet, California Rounding 7-On/7-Off InHospital Physicians is seeking a full-time Hospitalist physician to join a well-supported inpatient program at a 327-bed acute-care hospital in Hemet, California. This W-2 opportunity offers a predictable daytime schedule, manageable patient census, dedicated Intensivist support, and AI-assisted documentation. Position Highlights Base salary Full-time W-2 employment Comprehensive employee benefits package Daytime 7-on/7-off schedule Average daily census of approximately 16 patients Primarily rounding-focused responsibilities No procedures required No code responsibilities Open ICU with Intensivists managing critical-care patients and procedures Paragon EMR Ambient AI dictation and documentation technology Supportive, team-based clinical environment Primary Responsibilities Provide high-quality inpatient care to an average daily census of approximately 16 patients Conduct daily patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans Review diagnostic results, medications, clinical changes, and specialist recommendations Coordinate care with Intensivists, specialists, nurses, case managers, pharmacists, and other clinical team members Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and discharge planning Communicate treatment plans and clinical updates clearly with patients and their families Complete progress notes, discharge summaries, medication reconciliation, and other required documentation Promote safe and efficient transitions of care Support quality, patient-safety, utilization-management, and hospital performance initiatives Maintain compliance with hospital policies, medical-staff standards, and applicable regulatory requirements The Hospitalist is not responsible for procedures or responding to codes. Although the hospital has an open ICU, dedicated Intensivists manage critical-care patients and perform ICU procedures. Candidate Requirements Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Active California medical license or eligibility to obtain one Ability to obtain hospital privileges and meet medical-staff credentialing requirements Current, unrestricted DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one Strong clinical judgment and inpatient-care experience Effective communication, teamwork, and documentation skills Commitment to patient-centered, safe, and efficient care Compensation and Employment This is a full-time W-2 position offering a base salary and a comprehensive employee benefits package.
