This facility is part of a regional healthcare network dedicated to serving the Appalachian community with comprehensive medical services. As a Level 3 trauma center, the facility provides essential orthopedic care to the region and offers physicians the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with strong community support.Opportunity:
Physician -Orthopaedic Surgery Job Details:
- Handle approximately 25 patient encounters per shift providing comprehensive orthopedic services
- Perform arthroscopic procedures across various joints
- Conduct total joint replacements including hip, knee, and other joints
- Manage joint revision and repair procedures for shoulder, hip, knee, and other joints
- Perform tendon release and repair procedures
- Locums-to-permanent position opportunity starting June 1, 2026
- Must maintain active Kentucky medical license
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Board certification preferred but not required
- 45-day credentialing timeframe
- Fellowship training preferred (3 years)
- Access to Lexington, KY and Knoxville, TN airports for travel convenience
