Job Description
Experienced Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Primary CareOverview Long Hollow Family Practice is looking to add an experienced Physician Assistant (PA-C) to our amazing team! We are a close-knit, family-owned primary care practice that takes pride in providing exceptional patient care while creating a supportive, family-oriented work environment for our staff. We are seeking a compassionate, confident, and experienced provider with at least 3-5 years of primary care experience who is passionate about building lasting relationships with patients and delivering high-quality, evidence-based care. The ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is committed to helping our practice continue to grow.
Schedule:
4 days per week 7:15 AM - 5:00 PM We are flexible with scheduling. Monday off with Tuesday through Friday is preferred, but we are open to discussing other four-day schedules for the right candidate. Perform complete medical histories and physical examinations. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions. Develop individualized treatment plans and promote preventive healthcare. Order, interpret, and review laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic studies. Prescribe medications and monitor treatment effectiveness. Perform minor office procedures, including wound care and suturing when appropriate. Document patient encounters accurately using the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Coordinate care with specialists to ensure continuity of care. Educate patients on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and chronic disease management. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations. Work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and administrative personnel to deliver outstanding patient care. Qualifications Current Physician Assistant (PA-C) license in the State of Tennessee (or ability to obtain prior to employment). Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a primary care setting is required. Current DEA registration and NPI preferred. Strong diagnostic, clinical decision-making, and patient management skills. Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team. Current BLS certification required.
