You will work alongside experienced ER doctors and technicians, dedicated anesthesia and surgical support staff, collaborative specialty clinicians, and a rapidly growing referral network throughout Central Texas. Build the ophthalmology service you've always wanted! Violet Crown Veterinary Specialists (VCVS) is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained veterinary ophthalmologist to launch and lead a new ophthalmology service within our growing specialty and emergency hospital in Bee Cave, Texas just outside Austin. We are looking for a clinician who wants: The ability to shape a service from the ground up Influence over equipment and workflow decisions Autonomy in how they practice medicine A collaborative specialty environment without the corporate structure Long-term growth potential in one of the fastest-growing referral markets in Texas If you have ever thought, "If I could build a service my way, this is how I'd do it," this role was created with that in mind. VCVS is privately owned and actively investing in specialty growth. You will have direct input into: Ophthalmology workflow design Equipment selection and future expansion Technician training and staffing structure Referral relationship development Scheduling and service growth strategy What We're Looking For ACVO board-certified or residency-trained veterinary ophthalmologist Strong interest in building and shaping a growing service Collaborative and team-oriented mindset Passion for both high-quality medicine and client communication Interest in developing referral relationships within the community Perks & Benefits We recognize burnout is real in veterinary medicine.
