Position Summary:
The "Comprehensive Below-the-Knee" SpecialistWe are seeking true, well-rounded Doctors of Podiatric Medicine who take pride in providing complete, end-to-end care for everything below the knee. We are not looking for a provider who only wants to do high-level OR cases, nor are we looking for someone content with basic clinic work. Our ideal associates view the full spectrum of podiatric medicine as essential: you are just as willing to perform foundational preventative care as you are to lead complex diabetic limb salvage, manage advanced wound reconstruction, or execute elective and non-elective surgeries in the operating room.
Important Note:
These are 100% clinic- and surgical center-based positions. There are no mobile, home health, or facility travel responsibilities required. You will manage a dynamic, high-volume office panel with a diverse case mix.
The Ideal Candidate Profile Full-Spectrum Mindset:
You respect the complete continuum of care—understanding that foundational preventative care, advanced wound healing, and surgical interventions are all critical parts of keeping a patient walking and healthy.
No Ego & Patient-Centered:
You willingly perform "bread-and-butter" office podiatry alongside advanced procedures, taking equal pride in every patient encounter regardless of clinical complexity.
Surgical & Wound Authority:
You possess strong surgical capabilities and a deep understanding of advanced tissue products, offloading modalities, and lower-extremity biomechanics.
Detail-Oriented & Compliant:
You write accurate, timely clinical notes and maintain high standards for coding accuracy and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities 1. Comprehensive Below-the-Knee Clinical Care Conduct thorough Podiatric History & Physicals (H&Ps) for a dedicated patient panel at your assigned location (Beaches or Northside). Manage a true full-spectrum clinical case mix: perform foundational preventative care while seamlessly handling dermatological issues, biomechanical alignment, heel pain, and structural deformities. Drive advanced wound care and limb-salvage pipelines, including the application of cellular and tissue-based products (CTPs), bioengineered skin substitutes, sharp wound debridement, and PAD screenings. Perform in-office procedures, diagnostic joint evaluations, therapeutic injections, and minor soft-tissue or nail surgeries. Prescribe and fit Durable Medical Equipment (DME), custom orthotics, and specialized bracing. 2. Surgical Expectation & Operative Management Evaluate, schedule, and perform surgical procedures for patients requiring operative correction of lower-extremity pathologies. Maintain active operative cases at local ambulatory surgical centers (ASCs) and hospital partners, utilizing dedicated surgical blocks. Execute both elective forefoot/rearfoot procedures and reconstructive surgical interventions based on clinical indication. Provide thorough pre-operative counseling and post-operative care to ensure long-term clinical success. 3. Administrative Excellence Utilize our EMR system for all clinical documentation, ordering, and care management. Complete charts efficiently with accurate coding prior to leaving the clinic each day. Support practice quality metrics, including MIPS compliance.
