Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, VA Minimum Qualifications:
Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine (DPM). Graduate from a school of podiatric medicine accredited by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education (CPME) under the authority of American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA). Board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS) or the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM). A minimum of two (2) years of experience (including surgical experience) within the preceding two (2) years as a Podiatrist. Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a podiatrist.
Core Duties:
Provide appointment services within 30 minutes of the appointed time. When the daily schedule is not full, the HCW will provide services (during clinic times) for walk-in patients, dictation and completing medical boards, and other health care administrative duties. Perform foot and mid foot reconstructive surgery. Systematically monitor effectiveness of practice through client database and outcomes evaluation. Synthesize and use the results of these evaluations to make or recommend changes including policy, procedure or protocol documentation. Perform necessary administrative duties that include maintaining statistical records of clinical workload, participating in education programs, and participating in clinical staff quality assurance functions and Process Action Teams, as prescribed by the MTF Director.
