Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lead Therapist to join our multidisciplinary mental health and behavioral services team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in psychotherapy, crisis intervention, group therapy, individual therapy and BPS. This role requires a professional committed to delivering evidence-based interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy, Neurofaith, art therapy, and applied behavior analysis within inpatient settings. The Lead Therapist will oversee clinical operations, mentor staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care aligned with HIPAA standards and medical documentation requirements. Duties Provide individual, group, and family counseling utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and behavioral management strategies. Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and patient assessments using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to inform treatment planning. Lead clinical case management activities including intake assessments, treatment planning, progress monitoring, and discharge planning. Supervise and mentor clinical staff to ensure adherence to best practices in mental health counseling, crisis management, and behavior management. Coordinate care for patients with complex needs such as PTSD, addiction issues, chronic pain, autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, Geriatrics, and gender issues counseling. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations while utilizing medical terminology effectively. Facilitate telehealth sessions to expand access to care while ensuring confidentiality and data security. Engage in clinical research initiatives to advance evidence-based practices within the organization. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, special education specialists, and medical professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Participate in training sessions on ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and data collection for quality improvement projects. Requirements Master's or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Counseling Psychology or related field. Valid licensure or certification in mental health counseling or psychotherapy (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT) preferred. Extensive experience in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and addiction counseling. Proven expertise working with addiction, couples' counseling, trauma-informed care including PTSD care; crisis intervention; grief counseling. Experience in residential or outpatient clinic settings preferred. Proficiency in clinical documentation practices ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards. Excellent communication skills along with leadership qualities necessary for supervising clinical staff and managing complex cases.
