The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff to promote mental health and academic success. This role involves assessing students' psychological needs, providing individual and group counseling, and developing safety plans to ensure a supportive learning environment. Responsibilities Conduct psychological assessments and testing to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and social development. Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address various mental health issues. Develop and implement safety plans for students in crisis or at risk. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create effective intervention strategies for students. Maintain accurate medical documentation related to student assessments and counseling sessions. Participate in crisis management efforts within the school environment. Offer support in conflict management among students to foster a positive school climate. Provide training and resources for staff on mental health awareness and support strategies. Skills Experience working with children in a school setting is essential. Strong background in psychological testing methodologies. Proficient in developing safety plans tailored to individual student needs. Excellent crisis management skills with the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations. Effective conflict management abilities to facilitate resolution among students. Strong communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and staff members.
