About The Neurodevelopmental Collective:
At The Neurodevelopmental Collective, we believe every brain belongs. We are a collaborative, multidisciplinary practice in San Carlos dedicated to providing authentic, neurodiversity-affirming evaluations, therapy, and family support. Grounded in warmth, play, and respect, we look at the whole child—how they think, learn, process emotions, manage self-regulation, and engage within their family system.
The Role:
We are seeking a warm, grounded Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Psy.
D. / Ph.D.) to provide 1:1 child therapy, comprehensive neurodevelopmental evaluations, and direct parent support/coaching. You must feel confident working in-person with young neurodivergent children (specifically ages 4-8 minimum), with opportunities to support older kids depending on your clinical interests. Our practice prioritizes relational safety, self-regulation, and active parent partnership over compliance-based or behavioral-modification approaches. We focus heavily on equipping parents with practical tools to support emotional regulation, anxiety, and neurodivergent profiles at home.
Training Provided:
We offer direct training, supervision, and ongoing clinical consultation in Collaborative & Proactive Solutions (CPS), SPACE, and neurodiversity-affirming family frameworks to support your professional growth!
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 play-informed child therapy and direct parent coaching/support (ages 4-8+). Utilize relationally grounded modalities focusing on self-regulation, co-regulation, and family dynamics (CPS, SPACE, Interoception/Zones of Regulation, parent guidance). Conduct comprehensive neurodevelopmental/psychoeducational evaluations using strengths-based approaches. Partner directly with parents to reduce accommodation of anxiety, build co-regulation strategies, and solve chronic dysregulation challenges collaboratively. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members (SLP, educational specialists, OT) to support the whole child and family.
