School Psychologist - Portland, CT

Job Description

Step into a dynamic role supporting high school students as a School Psychologist on a full-time contract basis. This rewarding opportunity involves working 35 hours per week with a dedicated caseload, including involvement in a vital transition program. Make a lasting difference for students as you collaborate with staff and families to deliver high-quality psychological services throughout the school year.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Connecticut School Psychologist license required Previous experience working in school settings, preferably with high school populations Strong understanding of transition programs and experience supporting students through significant educational changes Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to effectively conduct assessments, develop intervention strategies, and consult with educational teams
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive psychological services including assessment, counseling, and consultation to high school students Support students within a transition program, helping them adjust and succeed Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to student needs Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to foster a supportive educational environment Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to multidisciplinary teams, and maintain all required documentation Deliver crisis intervention and support as needed
