Job Description
School Psychologist - Permanent Placement Interview Process First round: Virtual interview Second round: In-person interview Qualifications Must hold or be eligible for State of Delaware Certification (Requirements here). Special Education Certification preferred. Highly Qualified Status as per No Child Left Behind (NCLB). Strong understanding of Response To Intervention (RTI) strategies. Knowledge of diagnostic procedures and instructional modifications. Must complete a Clean Criminal Background Check, TB Test, and Child Protection Registry Clearance before employment begins. Primary Duties Work in-person at the assigned school building. Review referrals for evaluations, determining appropriate interventions and assessments. Administer appropriate tests following federal, state, and local guidelines. Participate in IST/IEP meetings, providing instructional intervention strategies, curriculum modifications, and student accommodations. Conduct classroom observations, prepare reports, and administer necessary assessments. Write the school psychologist's portion of assessment reports and ensure incorporation of all appraisal findings before notifying teachers. Ensure student records and IST/RTI documentation are complete before assessments. Determine disability eligibility in IST meetings. Adhere to federal timelines for assessments and reports. Apply the RTI problem-solving model and foster team-building among colleagues. Consult with external agencies as needed. Perform other related duties as required.
