Job Description

Entry-Level Testing Technician Pediatric Consultation Center and Associates Deerfield, Illinois www.pccassociates.care Full-time preferred/Part-time considered Pediatric Consultation Center and Associates is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Testing Technician to join our clinical team in Deerfield, Illinois. This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate interested in psychology, child development, neuropsychology, education, or a related field. Patients are referred with a variety of concerns; referrals are made to evaluate for ASD, ADHD, behavioral and emotional problems, developmental delay, or learning disorder with and without known underlying medical factors. Many referrals are complex or hospital/psychiatric referrals. PCCA obtains referrals from pediatricians, psychiatrists, and other health professionals. Many families return for re-evaluations, as we follow their progress medically, therapeutically, or academically. Collaboration with school districts as well as special education attorneys following a neuropsychological evaluation to assist in developing 504 Plans and IEP's is also a component. Staff at PCCA enjoy an active, supportive, and collegial environment with frequent interaction among colleagues and clinicians. The Testing Technician will assist licensed clinicians with the administration and scoring of standardized psychological, developmental, and educational assessments for children and adolescents. Paid training and ongoing supervision and didactics are provided. Primary Responsibilities
  • Administer standardized tests according to established procedures and under clinical supervision
  • Establish rapport with children and adolescents while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries
  • Observe and accurately document behavioral observations during testing sessions
  • Score assessment measures and enter data
  • Prepare testing materials and ensure that protocols are complete and organized
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of clinical records and testing materials
  • Communicate professionally with clinicians, office staff, patients, and families
  • Assist with other assessment-related and administrative duties as needed Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree completed in psychology, child development, education, social work, neuroscience, or a related field
  • Interest in pediatric psychological or neuropsychological assessment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized instructions
  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, flexibility, and comfort working with children and adolescents with varied needs
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Previous experience working with children is preferred What We Offer
