Job Description

Make a difference as a School Psychologist in a dynamic school environment near Edinburgh, IN. This contract role offers the opportunity to play a key part in the special education process, working onsite Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM. As the dedicated School Psychologist, you'll work closely with students, families, and staff across three school buildings, providing essential support for special education evaluations and fostering an inclusive, supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct approximately 70 psychoeducational evaluations per year Collaborate with educators and families to develop comprehensive plans for student support Ensure all evaluations and documentation meet Indiana special education requirements Provide consultative services to staff on intervention strategies and educational planning Participate actively in monthly team meetings Report directly to the district supervisor, maintaining open lines of communication
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Indiana School Psychologist license Practical experience in psychoeducational assessments and eligibility determinations preferred In-depth understanding of special education law, procedures, and compliance Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with a variety of stakeholders Collaborative approach to problem-solving and team participation This role provides the opportunity to create a positive impact in the lives of students by supporting their academic and emotional growth.
