Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting the academic and emotional growth of K-6th grade students as a School Psychologist for a full school year. This full-time, contract opportunity is based within a single building, allowing you to form meaningful connections with students, educators, and families. You'll collaborate closely with a dedicated team to foster a positive learning environment while providing essential psychological services.
Desired Qualifications:
Current certification and licensure as a School Psychologist Experience working with students in grades K-6 (preferred) Strong understanding of child development, learning disabilities, and behavioral interventions Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Ability to conduct assessments, write reports, and lead meetings with parents and school staff
Key Responsibilities:
Perform psychoeducational evaluations to identify students' strengths and needs Develop and implement intervention strategies for academic, social, and emotional support Counsel students individually or in small groups to address behavioral or learning challenges Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents on effective support plans Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations for special education services Maintain detailed records and comply with all ethical and legal guidelines This position provides the chance to make a lasting impact in a welcoming school community, working with a manageable caseload focused on one building.
