Clinical Psychologist - F/T MindCare Solutions, a clinician-owned and operated leader in comprehensive mental health care, is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to provide exceptional mental health services in a corrections facility. Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week
Location:
Baldwin, MI Compensation:
up to $85/hr in person depending on experience
Position Summary:
As a Clinical Psychologist, you will deliver high-quality mental health care, including psychotherapy, psychological assessments, and evidence-based interventions, to individuals within a correctional setting. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support the mental health and rehabilitation of incarcerated individuals, ensuring care aligns with ethical and legal standards. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a profound impact while working in a supportive and mission-driven environment. Conducts psychological evaluations of inmates/detainees/residents (I/D/R) to diagnose mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Develops and implements appropriate treatment plans, including psychotherapy and counseling services. Assesses suicide risk and mental health status to determine the need for higher levels of care or observation. Collaborates with psychiatrists and other medical professionals for medication management and referrals. Supervises and trains mental health staff; provides in-service education and crisis intervention training for correctional and medical personnel. Maintains thorough documentation of services and participates in quality-of-care reviews. Minimum Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age. Doctoral degree (PhD, Psy.
D., or Ed.
D.) in Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and active license to practice Psychology in the state where services are delivered (license must be valid and verifiable). One (1) year of experience in a correctional or forensic setting preferred. Participation in the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PsyPact) is preferred and supports telehealth service delivery across participating states. Availability to provide telehealth services remotely for up to 40 hours per week.
