POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking two dedicated School Psychologists to join our Farmington Public Schools team. The successful candidates will provide comprehensive psychoeducational services to support the academic, social, behavioral, and emotional well-being of our students. This role requires an individual capable of performing diagnostic assessments to support special education eligibility determinations, conducting crisis intervention, and providing consultative services within a school setting.
QUALIFICATIONS
Full school psychology certification preferred (provisional may be considered) Administer both standardized and informal assessments (observation, curriculum-based measures, etc.) Support staff in the administration and use of assessments and tiered interventions. Excellent verbal and written language skills. Organized and able to manage multiple assignments within multiple buildings. Able to develop and implement positive behavior support systems. Thorough knowledge and ability to facilitate functional behavior assessments. Ability to lead teams in writing behavior intervention plans. Meet all license requirements for school psychologists in Michigan. Must be CPI trained or willing to be trained within 30 days of hire and annually update certification. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with students, staff members, parents, and the community. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
K EY RESPONSIBILITIES
Comprehensive Assessment:
C onduct individual psycho-educational e valuations, including cognitive, academic, social-emotional, and behavioral assessments to determine eligibility for special education services. C onsultation &
Collaboration:
Collaborate effectively w ith teachers, administrators, parents, and community agencies to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
I EP Development:
Serve as an active member of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team, contributing data-driven insights to inform goal setting and instructional planning.
Crisis Intervention:
Provide support for crisis p revention and response, including suicide risk assessments and threat assessments as needed. D ata
Analysis:
Utilize data to monitor student progress and evaluate the effectiveness of a cademic and behavioral interventions at both the individual and systemic levels.
