Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make an impact by supporting student growth and success through assessment and consultation services. This contract opportunity for a dedicated School Psychologist or Diagnostician spans district-wide, working closely with a diverse student population and multidisciplinary teams. The assignment runs from now through May 2027, offering the chance to build meaningful, long-term relationships with students and staff.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree or Doctorate in School Psychology or closely related field Current New Mexico PED School Psychologist License Previous evaluation and assessment experience (30-40 evaluations per school year is typical) Ability and willingness to travel between school sites within the district Collaborative spirit and strong communication skills
Position Responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational assessments to develop detailed evaluations of student learning and behavioral strengths and challenges Collaborate with educators, families, and administrative teams to develop and support effective academic and behavioral interventions Provide consultation and recommendations to support student IEP goals and 504 plans Contribute to multi-disciplinary problem solving to foster educational access and achievement Maintain thorough documentation and timely reporting as required by district policies This full-time, onsite opportunity offers 37.5 hours per week and promises a varied, dynamic routine as you work across multiple schools.
