Join Our Team as a Behavior Specialist! Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available Are you passionate about helping individuals reach their fullest potential? Do you have experience in behavioral assessment, treatment planning, and staff development? If so, UCP Long Island is looking for a dedicated Behavior Specialist to join our Residential Services team. For more than 75 years , UCP Long Island has empowered individuals with cerebral palsy and other disabilities to live more independent, productive, and fulfilling lives. Make an Impact Every Day As a Behavior Specialist, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed psychologist to assess needs, develop individualized behavioral support plans, train staff, and help individuals achieve meaningful personal goals.
What You'll Do:
✅ Conduct behavioral assessments and psychological testing ✅ Develop individualized behavior support plans that promote: Self-direction Emotional well-being Skill development Independence and community participation ✅ Monitor and evaluate treatment goals and outcomes ✅ Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning ✅ Train and coach direct support professionals on behavior support strategies ✅ Collaborate with psychological, psychiatric, and residential teams ✅ Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations ✅ Provide ongoing support, consultation, and behavioral guidance across residential programs
What We're Looking For:
Master's Degree in Applied Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Educational Psychology, or a related field Experience in behavioral assessment and intervention Strong written communication and documentation skills Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams Passion for supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities Why Join UCP Long Island?
