Postdoctoral Fellow Forest Hills Psychology Group Forest Hills, NY Job Details Part-time | Contract $100 - $175 an hour 20 hours ago Benefits Professional development assistance Flexible schedule Qualifications Teamwork Doctoral degree Evidence-based practice Clinical Psychology Psychology Full Job Description Forest Hills Psychology Group is seeking a warm, motivated, and collaborative Postdoctoral Psychology Fellow to join our group practice. This position is ideal for a developing psychologist who is passionate about working with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and families while strengthening skills in evidence-based therapy, group treatment, and parent coaching. The fellow will receive varied clinical experience within a supportive group-practice setting, with opportunities to develop an individualized caseload based on clinical interests and training goals. Training Opportunities The Postdoctoral Fellow will have opportunities to: Provide individual therapy to children and adolescents Provide individual therapy to young adults and adults Co-facilitate social-emotional and friendship skills groups for children Co-facilitate executive functioning groups for children and adolescents Provide parent coaching to help caregivers address behavioral, emotional, and developmental concerns Deliver evidence-based interventions informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, emotional dysregulation, social difficulties, and life transitions Collaborate with parents, schools, and other providers when clinically appropriate and with proper authorization Complete timely clinical documentation and treatment planning Participate in individual supervision, case consultation, and professional-development activities Maintain ethical, professional, and culturally responsive clinical practices Create their own schedule to see clients Qualifications Applicants should: Have completed, or be on track to complete, a doctoral degree in clinical, counseling, or school psychology from an accredited program Have completed an internship that meets New York State licensure requirements Be eligible for a limited permit or other appropriate authorization to practice under supervision in New York State Have experience providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and/or families Demonstrate interest in CBT, DBT, group therapy, executive functioning support, and parent coaching Possess strong communication, organizational, and clinical documentation skills Value collaboration, cultural responsiveness, professional growth, and evidence-based care Experience facilitating groups or working with children and families is preferred but not required. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, curious, and receptive to supervision and feedback. They enjoy working collaboratively while also developing confidence and independence as a clinician. We are especially interested in candidates who want broad clinical experience and are excited to contribute to group programming for children, adolescents, and parents.
