School Psychologist

Job Description

Our client is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified School Psychologist to deliver comprehensive psychological services for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. This role focuses on supporting students' academic, behavioral, social, and emotional success through multidisciplinary collaboration, evidence-based interventions, and thorough evaluations performed in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, interpret assessment data, and prepare detailed evaluation reports to assist in special education eligibility determinations. Participate actively in IEP, MDT, and educational planning meetings with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers. Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs), assist with Behavior Support Plans, and implement academic and behavioral interventions. Provide individual and group counseling services and support crisis response efforts as needed. Ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, state regulations, and district procedures, including completing required documentation and Medicaid billing in a timely manner. Provide supervision and guidance to school psychologist interns, practicum students, paraprofessionals, or other assigned personnel as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Master's degree or higher from a NASP- or APA-approved School Psychology program. Current active School Psychologist certification/license in the state of Pennsylvania. Strong written and verbal communication abilities alongside excellent interpersonal and professional judgment skills. Previous school-based experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and behavioral assessments preferred. Knowledge of special education law, compliance requirements, and crisis response practices preferred. #Education
