Consider this Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections position with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections (PA DOC). DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position oversees psychological services that support inmate treatment, safety, and adjustment to daily living, social interaction, and work in a correctional setting. Responsibilities focus on supervising a psychological staff, evaluating services' effectiveness, and ensuring operations comply with required policies and standards. As a Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections, you will perform the following duties:

Professional Staff Supervision:

Direct, oversee, evaluate, and participate in clinical services provided by a masters-level psychological services staff

Program Development:

Create, manage, and implement new and revised psychological services programs including counseling programs to support inmates' adjustment and treatment

Administrative Management:

Develop and integrate PA DOC policies and procedures; lead key institutional committees related to mental health and crisis response

Clinical Standards Compliance:

Set competencies and privileges of specialist and associate staff; ensure all work aligns with accreditation standards for the provision of psychological services

Consultation Services:

Provide professional advice and guidance to help the program development and staff training of the institution's teams support effective treatment for mental health issues

Expert Reporting:

Review and interpret preliminary, comprehensive, and diagnostic psychological tests; update medical profiles; and testify as an expert witness when neededInterested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, intellectual disabilities or behavioral dysfunction.

Special Requirements:

You must possess a valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board. Applicants with out-of-state licensure must obtain Pennsylvania licensure within one year of employment.

Other Requirements:

Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required. PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
