Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity for a skilled professional passionate about supporting student success in an educational environment. This contract position centers on providing school psychologist services to a middle school population, collaborating closely with a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to deliver comprehensive care. You'll co-treat a small caseload, offering both group and individual counseling, and participate actively in the evaluation process and team meetings.
Key Qualifications:
Master's or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain Experience working with middle school students preferred Strong background in administering educational and psychological assessments Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to facilitate group and individual counseling sessions Proficiency with team-based service delivery models
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations to support IEP and eligibility determinations Co-treat small caseloads alongside an SLP, promoting integrated support for students Lead small group and individual counseling sessions focused on emotional, behavioral, and social development Attend and contribute to team meetings, sharing observations and recommendations Maintain accurate and clear documentation of student progress and interventions Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including teachers, families, and specialists—to develop and monitor student plans This role provides a chance to make a meaningful difference in a supportive school setting, helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
