Postdoctoral Psychology Fellow
  • Integrated Behavioral Health Our Psyche, Inc.
| Edinburg, Texas Full-Time | Postdoctoral Fellowship Position Summary Our Psyche, Inc. is seeking motivated doctoral-level psychology graduates to join our Postdoctoral Fellowship in Integrated Behavioral Health. This structured training program is designed to prepare fellows for advanced professional practice through supervised clinical experience, psychological assessment, psychotherapy, interdisciplinary collaboration, structured didactics, consultation, and professional development. Our Psyche provides behavioral health services to a diverse population of children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Fellows work within an integrated clinical environment and collaborate with psychologists, psychiatry, and other behavioral health professionals. Fellowship Training Opportunities Postdoctoral Fellows may receive supervised experience in:
  • Individual psychotherapy with children, adolescents, and adults
  • Couples and family psychotherapy
  • Psychological and diagnostic assessment
  • ADHD and cognitive/attention assessment
  • Trauma-informed treatment
  • Health psychology and integrated behavioral health
  • Crisis and risk assessment
  • Telepsychology and telebehavioral health
  • Interdisciplinary consultation and treatment planning
  • Psychopharmacology education and collaboration with psychiatry
  • Specialty psychological evaluations
  • Case conceptualization and clinical documentation
  • Ethics and professional practice
  • Cultural humility and work with diverse populations
  • Leadership, consultation, and professional development
  • Case conferences, journal clubs, and scholarly activities Training Structure The fellowship is organized as a structured postdoctoral training experience with progressive development of professional competencies.
Fellows participate in regular individual and group supervision, formal didactic seminars, clinical case consultation, competency evaluations, and individualized professional-development activities. The program emphasizes progressive development from supervised postdoctoral practice toward readiness for independent professional practice. Supervision and Training Faculty Fellows receive supervision and interdisciplinary training from members of the Our Psyche clinical training team, including: Nicole Velez, Ph.D.

  • Psychiatry Faculty Additional clinical professionals may participate in specialty training, consultation, and didactic activities.
Minimum Qualifications Applicants must:
  • Hold a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or another appropriate psychology program before beginning the fellowship.
  • Have completed all doctoral degree requirements prior to the fellowship start date.
  • Have completed an appropriate doctoral psychology internship.
  • Be eligible to practice psychology under applicable Texas requirements for supervised postdoctoral practice.
  • Demonstrate commitment to ethical and culturally responsive psychological practice.
  • Demonstrate appropriate clinical, interpersonal, and professional competencies.
  • Successfully complete the program's interview and selection process.
Bilingual English/Spanish applicants are encouraged to apply. Preferred Qualifications Preference may be given to applicants with interests or experience in psychological assessment, integrated behavioral health, trauma, child and adolescent services, couples and family treatment, health psychology, culturally diverse populations, and interdisciplinary behavioral healthcare.
