Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role where your expertise has a lasting influence on students' growth and success. As a full-time School Psychologist serving schools in the Gloucester area, you will empower students through comprehensive support—academic, behavioral, social, and emotional—by working closely with educators, families, and a dedicated support team. This contract position starts immediately or for the 2026-2027 school year, featuring consistent Monday-Friday, school-day hours. Make every day meaningful by helping students reach their full potential in a supportive, collaborative school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and comprehensive student assessments Analyze assessment results and create detailed evaluation reports Participate actively in eligibility, IEP, and multidisciplinary team meetings Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers Consult on academic, behavioral, and mental health interventions Support
MTSS/RTI
initiatives using data-driven insights Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations Foster positive, inclusive learning environments that encourage student achievement
Desired Qualifications:
Master's, Ed.

S., or Doctoral degree in School Psychology Active Virginia School Psychologist license/certification, or eligibility to obtain licensure by start date Excellent communication, assessment, and consultation skills Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team School-based experience preferred, but qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply What's in It for
