Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding position supporting elementary students as a School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract opportunity centers around working with K-6th grade students at a welcoming, small elementary school. You'll play a key role in helping build a nurturing and inclusive environment for young learners, serving as a vital resource for teachers, students, and families. The assignment runs from August 26, 2026, through June 15, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field Previous experience working in a K-6 school setting is preferred Strong skills in completing psychoeducational evaluations and conducting individual/group assessments Familiarity with IEP process and collaboration in multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication and organizational skills Empathy, adaptability, and commitment to fostering student success
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for students referred for academic, behavioral, or emotional concerns Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents Provide crisis intervention and support as needed Deliver counseling, consultation, and intervention services to students and classrooms Assist in developing positive behavioral interventions and supports Maintain thorough and timely documentation as required by the school and regulatory guidelines This role offers a unique opportunity to make a direct impact in a community-focused setting and to help shape children's educational experiences during their formative years.
