Job Description

Adventist Health is seeking a compassionate Radiation Therapist to deliver high-quality outpatient radiation treatments in a mission-driven, faith-based setting. In this role, you will operate linear accelerators, verify treatment plans, and ensure accurate patient positioning while maintaining strict radiation safety and quality standards. You will partner closely with radiation oncologists, physicists, and nurses, providing education and emotional support to patients and families. Responsibilities Deliver accurate radiation treatments per physician prescription and treatment plan Operate and monitor linear accelerators and related radiation therapy equipment Verify patient identity, setup, and positioning using imaging and immobilization devices Monitor patients during treatment and report changes to the care team Maintain detailed, timely documentation in EMR and treatment records Follow all radiation safety, quality assurance, and infection control protocols Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, physicists, and nursing staff Educate and support patients and families regarding treatment process and side effects Required Skills Radiation therapy delivery Linear accelerator operation Treatment planning review Patient positioning and immobilization Radiation safety and compliance Electronic medical records (EMR) Dosimetry basics Quality assurance procedures Vital signs monitoring Patient education and communication
