Key Responsibilities:
Deliver precise and effective radiation therapy treatments according to physician orders and treatment plans. Accurately position and immobilize patients for each procedure to ensure optimal dose delivery and patient safety. Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, performing safety checks per protocol. Monitor patients throughout treatment sessions, documenting responses and reporting changes or concerns promptly. Collaborate with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and facilitate smooth case management. Provide clear explanation and support to patients and families regarding procedures and expected side effects. Maintain up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulatory and facility standards. Adhere strictly to safety, infection control, and confidentiality guidelines.
Desired Qualifications:
Current certification and registration as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT). California state licensure (or eligibility). Prior experience working as a radiation therapist in an oncology or hospital setting. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards in patient care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and reassurance. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
