1 Description American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT(T) certification and 2+ years of experience for a comprehensive cancer center offering advanced treatment modalities in Hilo, Hawaii. Details Work in the Radiation Oncology department of a comprehensive cancer center Treatment modalities include 3D, IMRT, SBRT, and electrons Set-ups include all treatment sites given the comprehensive nature of the cancer center Treat approximately 25-30 patients per day Uses Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator Uses ARIA and Epic EMR systems Rotating shifts with weekend and holiday coverage required 20-week assignment length Requirements Active State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license as a Radiation Therapist required (license required if applicable, may apply upon offer acceptance but must be obtained by start of assignment) Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (T) Current BLS certification Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible imaging technologist/specialist experience Thorough knowledge of imaging procedures and techniques Proficiency with Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator and
ARIA EMR
required Ability to independently perform radiation therapy treatments, simulations, treatment planning, and fabrication of specialized treatment aids Knowledge of growth and development principles across the life span to provide age-specific patient care Additional Information Provide oncology services for the island of Hawaii Independently perform radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician prescriptions and instructions Assess patient status and interpret data to identify age-specific care requirements All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to assignment start for a scheduled appointment Candidates should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to report to Employee Health that Friday morning
