Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiation Therapist to join our dynamic skin cancer team. In this role, you will deliver precise radiation treatments to patients undergoing skin cancer theatment and other medical conditions requiring radiation. Responsibilities Prepare and position patients accurately for various radiation treatments, including superficial radiation therapy (SRT), and image-guided radiation therapy (IGSRT). Operate sophisticated radiotherapy devices with precision and safety. Develop and implement individualized radiation treatment plans in collaboration with in office dermatologist and radiation oncologists, utilizing advanced medical imaging and treatment planning software. Conduct simulations to assist in accurate target delineation and treatment setup, ensuring optimal therapeutic outcomes. Monitor patient responses during treatment sessions, adjusting procedures as necessary while maintaining strict adherence to radiation safety protocols. Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently, documenting all procedures, patient data, and treatment progress comprehensively. Educate patients about their treatments, addressing questions related to radiation procedures, safety measures, and post-treatment care. Maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and radiation physics to support accurate treatment delivery. Follow all radiation safety procedures diligently to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary exposure. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including radiologists, physicists, and dermatologist to optimize patient care strategies. Ability to work independantly. Experience Graduate of Regionally Accredited Program for Radiation Therapy, is ARTT certified in Radiation Therapy RT and licensed in Ohio. RTT Board Certified. Proven experience as a Radiation Therapist or in a similar role within a healthcare setting specializing in radiation oncology. Familiarity with medical software used for treatment planning and electronic health records management. Knowledge of advanced radiation techniques such as SRT and IGSRT to deliver precise therapies tailored to individual patient needs. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and radiation physics essential for accurate treatment delivery.
