Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mammography Technician to join our medical imaging team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of mammography procedures, radiation safety protocols, and patient care practices. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to early detection and diagnosis of breast health issues within a dynamic healthcare environment. The Mammography Technician will operate advanced imaging equipment, ensure patient comfort, and uphold the highest standards of safety and accuracy in diagnostic imaging. Responsibilities Perform high-quality mammography examinations in accordance with established protocols, ensuring optimal image clarity for accurate diagnosis. Implement radiation safety procedures diligently to protect patients, staff, and oneself from unnecessary exposure. Assist in patient positioning, preparation, and education to promote a comfortable experience while explaining procedures clearly. Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to facilitate diagnostic evaluations. Maintain meticulous documentation of imaging procedures, patient information, and equipment maintenance records. Adhere strictly to aseptic techniques and infection control standards during all procedures to ensure patient safety. Stay current with advances in radiology technology, medical terminology, and best practices. Qualifications Certification or licensure as a Mammography Technician or Radiologic Technologist with specialized training in mammography. Proven experience operating radiologic imaging equipment including mammography units. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology principles essential for accurate imaging interpretation. Prior experience working in outpatient settings is highly desirable. Familiarity with radiation safety procedures and implementing radiation protection protocols effectively. Strong patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations. Pay:
From $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
